The second most desired country for immigrants is Canada. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people who want to move to Canada but cannot get a PR Visa invitation.
There is a limit on the number of applications for permanent residence that the Canadian government accepts. You will have to wait until next year if you don’t make it out of this pool. Here’s where we come in.
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) developed Express Entry as a point-based immigration program in 2015. Using this system, the Canadian government can manage the immigration applications of skilled workers wanting to become permanent residents of Canada. Candidates are awarded points based on their skills, experiences, employment history, and provincial/territorial nomination.
This system works with three immigration programs:
1. Canadian Experience Class
for skilled workers with Canadian work experience
You must have acquired your work experience within the last three years to apply
2. Federal Skilled Trades Program
for skilled people who are qualified to work in skilled trades
a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification is required
3. Federal Skilled Worker Program
skilled workers with foreign experience
must meet education and other criteria
If you qualify for one of the above programs, you can also apply for the Provincial Nominee Program through Express Entry. Nominated candidates will receive extra points so that they can be invited to apply quickly.
If you would like to apply to Canada PR express entry, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Check if you are eligible.
Step 2: Take a language test and obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
Step 3: Fill out your profile on the website of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Step 4: Wait for IRCC to send you an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
Step 5: Submit your completed Application for Permanent Residence (APR) to IRCC and pay your fees before the deadline. As part of this step, you must submit your medical examination and police certificate. The IRCC will then provide you with an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR).
Step 6: Submit your biometrics when IRCC asks you to.
Step 7: Wait for IRCC to make a final decision regarding your APR. IRCC typically finalizes applications within 6 months or less. After your application has been approved, you will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and a permanent resident visa (if you are from a country that requires a visa) so that you can travel to Canada and complete your landing there.
