Fees for applying to Canada College

If you’re planning to enroll in an academic or professional program at a university in Canada, you’ll need a study permit. This requirement applies to courses lasting over one year. If a student wishes to extend his or her stay after completing a programme that lasts less than six months, they should apply for a study visa. It costs CAD150 (INR 8,542) to apply for a Study Permit. According to the student’s nationality as well as the university they are applying to, the application fee varies. For Canadian Student visas, students are required to submit proof of funds and a minimum bank balance of INR 10,00,000 or more for a year in addition to their letter of admission.

The cost of living in Canada

Despite the fact that Canadian student visa regulations stipulate that you must have at least CA$10,000 (US$7,570) (or CA$11,001/US$8,300 if studying in Quebec) in addition to your tuition fees, you will most likely need substantially more for living expenses. Depending on your living situation and lifestyle, your living costs will vary greatly. Generally, major cities are more expensive to live in. Canadian cities with the highest rents include Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary, according to the 2019 Mercer Cost of Living Survey.

Students spend roughly CA$3,000-7,500 (US$2,271 – 5,680) each year on on-campus housing depending on which type of housing they choose (homestay, university housing, and private housing). The annual cost of private shared housing can be about CA$8,400 (US$6,361), excluding other costs. Many universities offer affordable housing, and some offer meal plans that allow you to purchase meals from the school’s food outlets.

You will be required to acquire health insurance while studying in Canada. The cost is about CA$600-800 (US$455-607) per year.
